Mr. Lynch moved the adoption of the standard Agenda. Mr. Browning seconded the motion. The Agenda was adopted by unanimous consent.

The Chairman delivered his report. A press release on Iran was sent out earlier today. He has also been researching the positions of Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr as potential endorsees. He mentioned some troubling inconsistencies in Mr. Barr's public positions.

The Secretary reminded the members that he had previously circulated draft minutes for the July 7, 2008 meeting of the Operating Committee. Mr. Hey moved the adoption of the minutes as published. His motion was seconded by Mr. Browning. The minutes were adopted by unanimous vote.

The Secretary stated that the envelopes have been ordered, and the mailing list updated by the NCOA post office process.

The Treasurer reported that the party's bank balance is $ 12,211.17. There are no unpaid invoices at this time.

Mr. Hill stated that the Finance Committee authorized the purchase of envelopes for the newspaper mail outs.

Mr. Browning delivered the Partybuilding Committee report. He mentioned several contacts coming in. He also reported his experience at a town meeting in which most of the questions from the voters related to energy concerns. The Chairman commented that he is working on a press release for later this week on energy concerns.

Mr. Lynch reported the PR Committee is in the layout process for the next issue of the newspaper.

Mr. Hey reported that the Rules Committee has no business pending before it at the present time.

A discussion took place regarding government misconduct and stealing of private property. The question of whether the party should endorse a candidate for President was also taken up.

There being no further business, on motion made by Mr. Hey, seconded by Mr. Lynch, and adopted by unanimous vote, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
