National Convention a Success

Boulder, CO -- The America First Party held its 2006 National Convention and National Committee Meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio this last weekend. The growth of the party was apparent with the addition of a new vigorous state affiliate in Michigan, and with the election of five well-qualified new Standing Committee Chairmen, and one new officer. Participants were reinvigorated and reinforced by the event's inspiring speakers.

After years of exceptional service, both Dan Charles, the founding Chairman, and Romelle Winters, the party's first PR Secretary, stepped down. Both will be remembered as examples of heroic sacrifice.

The America First Party is delighted that its careful party-building strategy is bearing fruit, and looks forward to much future success with the leadership of its new Committee Chairmen, many of whom have substantial organizational and technical experience as business owners and entrepreneurs. All share the common goal of putting America First before the often corrosive influence of special interests.

The America First Party was founded in April 2002 and is focused on electing principled citizen statesmen who will preserve and protect our people and our sovereignty, promote economic growth and independence, encourage the traditional values of faith, family, and responsibility, ensure equality before the law in protecting those rights granted by the Creator, and clean up our corrupted political system. In 2004, the AFP elected two-thirds of its candidates to public office.
