Forced Vaccinations for STDs Advance the Totalitarian State
Boulder, CO -- A government advisory committee's recent decision has raised concerns about the possibility of inappropriate mandatory vaccinations for sexually transmitted diseases, with preteen girls being targeted.
On Thursday, the Center for Disease Control's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommended that "a newly licensed vaccine designed to protect against . HPV be routinely given to girls when they are 11-12 years old." The committee also stated that "the vaccination series can be started as early as nine years old."
According to informed sources, the committee's recommendation means that some, and perhaps most states, will make the vaccination, called Gardasil®, mandatory for school attendance.
AFP National Chairman Jon Hill stated, "If the government is allowed to forcibly inject people against their will, or the will of their guardians, to immunize them against diseases which are 100% avoidable through abstinence from sexual relations, then another alarming precedent will be set for the control and dominance of the individual by the state."
The moral upbringing of children is also at issue. "The state has no right to take actions, against the wishes of parents, which undermine the moral and religious training of their own children, by encouraging them to think that restraint from premarital sexual relations outside the bonds of marriage is unrealistic or unnecessary," said John Pittman Hey, AFP National Secretary.
Our party's platform affirms that "the responsibility for the health and welfare of children belongs to the parent or legal guardian in consultation with their family physician," and that the state must not intrude upon this right.
The America First Party was founded in April 2002 and is focused on electing principled citizen statesmen who will preserve and protect our people and our sovereignty, promote economic growth and independence, encourage the traditional values of faith, family, and responsibility, ensure equality before the law in protecting those rights granted by the Creator, and clean up our corrupted political system. In 2004, the AFP elected two-thirds of its candidates to public office.
